The Aspen Project

Bringing uncensored queer education to the world

Why We Exist

The Aspen Project was founded in 2021 by Jasper Ryan, after he graduated high school and left his GSA behind. The idea of uncensored education came from his experiences with administration, and a lack of freedom to talk about important topics.
"There was just so much I couldn't tell these kids. I had to censor important historical events, some of the effects of HRT, and even current LGBT news. I knew that something had to change. I had to create a space that could give everyone the education that they needed." - Ryan

About Us

Our Start

The Aspen Project was created in May 2021, and initially only existed on Instagram. After seeing the response online, Jasper decided to work on expanding T.A.P. onto all social media platforms, into in-person events, and gaining members and followers worldwide.

"I was a radical, a revolutionist. I am still a revolutionist... I am glad I was in the Stonewall riot. I remember when someone threw a Molotov cocktail, I thought, "My god, the revolution is here. The revolution is finally here!"
